Darat Al-Qahwa’s history dates back to the late 1960’s with the sale of imported green beans to the local market. In 1970, the first Darat Al-Qahwa opened in the “Queen’s Building” in Al Balad, downtown Jeddah. It quickly became a local landmark and the most popular café in the city.
